Box office tracking shows
that Chuck & Buck will win the weekend with over $60 million.
Oops! Sorry. Professor Xavier
wanted me to write that. Apparently he doesn't want you all to know how
obvious the win by X-Men will be this weekend. How big will X-Men
actually be? I'm betting that we will all be surprised. $30 million? $40
million? We'll see.
As the box office goes, that's
the only film that matters. I suspect that Scary Movie will have
a deep, but not a really deep drop. The big success last weekend will
definitely draw a second wave this weekend. Speaking of waves, The
Perfect Storm should get very close to or maybe wash over the $130
million mark this weekend in its third weekend.
