That's hot.
Too damned hot.
Los Angeles is not
supposed to be this hot. That is why they invented the valley.
Sigh.
Anyway, this weekend
at the movies feels a bit like The 70's house on MTV. You've got Logan's
Run meets Coma meets Roots in The Island. You
have The Bad News Bears in The Bad News Bears. You have
a kind of classic Social Blaxploitation film updated for rap with Hustle
& Flow. And you have Tobe Hooper gone over the edge in The
Devil's Rejects.
Did I mention that
it was hot?
Fox finally put
out its first trailer for Walk The Line, so I guess Oscar season
has officially started.
But that will wait
for next week.
Don't waste your
time with Bad News Bears, but if you find yourself drawn to any
of the other three films opening this weekend, you'll probably be ok…maybe
better than ok. Go see Murderball or Mad Hot Ballroom or
Charlie & The chocolate Factory if you haven't yet.
And take a look
at the new 20
Weeks Of Summer, which is really full of s**t this week.
Have a great weekend.
E-ME.
